Sacred Listening Prayer — Privacy Policy
Sacred Listening Prayer is a guided Lectio Divina prayer app for iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Android. This policy explains what information the app uses, why, and the choices you have. We never sell your personal information, and we never share your prayers, journal, or moods with advertisers.
Using the app without an account
You can pray without creating an account. Your progress, prayer history, journal entries, and mood check-ins are then stored only on your device. If you later create an account, that on-device information is uploaded to your account so it is not lost.
Information we collect with an account

Narration is generated by our audio provider (ElevenLabs) from the scripture and guidance text only; your journal and moods are never sent for narration.
Advertising
The app is free and supported by ads shown through Google AdMob. Ads appear only as a small banner on browsing screens — never during prayer. To show and measure ads, Google may collect your device’s advertising identifier, approximate location derived from your internet connection, and information about ad interactions, app diagnostics, and performance. - Your choice: On iPhone and iPad you are asked whether to allow tracking; if you decline, ads are not personalized. In the EU, UK, and Switzerland you are asked for consent, and you can change your ad privacy choices anytime in the app under You → Privacy choices for ads. On Android you can reset or delete your advertising ID in your device settings.
- Content limits: We restrict ads to general-audience content and block categories such as dating, sexual content, alcohol, gambling, and weight loss.
- Remove ads: An optional subscription ($1.99 per month or $19.99 per year) removes ads. Everything else in the app is free.
Your prayers, journal entries, and mood check-ins may reveal your religious beliefs. We use them only to provide the app to you, never for advertising, and we never sell or share them with advertisers.
Who we share information with
Only service providers that help run the app: our app server host, Google Firebase (sign-in), RevenueCat (subscriptions), ElevenLabs (narration audio), Apple and Google (purchases and notifications), and Google AdMob (ads, as described above). We may disclose information if required by law.
Keeping and deleting your information
We keep account information while your account is active. You can delete your account and its data anytime in the app under You → Delete account. You can also ask us to delete your account and data without using the app by emailing andrew.wichterman@icloud.com from the email address on your account; we will delete it within 30 days and confirm by email. Deleting your account does not cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription — cancel it in your store account settings. Information stored only on your device is removed when you delete the app.
Children
The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Security
Account sessions are stored in your device’s secure storage and information is sent over encrypted connections. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your information, or to opt out of personalized advertising. Contact us to make a request.
Changes
We will update this page if our practices change and revise the effective date above.
